One Bracelet Is Never Enough: How to Stack Beach Bracelets
Share
Some girls collect shoes. Some collect handbags. Me? I collect seashells, colorful jewelry, and excuses to go back to the beach.
And when it comes to bracelets, I've always believed that more is more. Especially when we're talking about those colorful, carefree, slightly mismatched stacks that look like you just spent the afternoon wandering around a little surf shop in Southern California.
The best part? You don't need to live at the beach to dress like you do.
Whether you're heading to the ocean, running errands, or just dreaming about your next vacation, here's how to create the perfect beachy bracelet stack.
1. Start With a Little Color π
The easiest way to build a bracelet stack is to pick a color palette.
Think turquoise and ocean blue, coral and sunset pink, or sandy neutrals mixed with white.
Personally, I love combining different shades of blue and green because they remind me of tropical water. But sometimes a pop of cobalt blue or orange is exactly what a stack needs.
Beach girl tip: Your bracelets don't have to match perfectly. In fact, they're usually more interesting when they don't!
2. Mix Your Textures
This is where the magic happens.
Instead of stacking five bracelets that all look alike, try combining different materials and textures.
Some of my favorite combinations include:
Wax cord bracelets for that laid-back surfer vibe.
Colorful beaded bracelets for a little personality and a pop of color.
Cowrie shell bracelets because nothing says beach girl quite like a seashell.
Dainty metal bracelets when you want a little extra shine.
Mixing these styles creates a stack that looks effortlessly put together, even if you spent ten minutes deciding which bracelet should go where. (We've all been there.)
3. Add Something That Reminds You of the Ocean π
Every good beach stack needs a little coastal personality.
Maybe it's a cowrie shell, a turquoise-colored bead, or a bracelet you picked up on your favorite beach vacation.
I especially love adding cowrie shells to my stacks because they instantly give everything that relaxed, barefoot-in-the-sand feeling.
And honestly, is there anything better than jewelry that reminds you of your favorite place?
4. Play With Different Sizes
Here's a little styling trick: try mixing bracelets of different widths.
A thicker beaded bracelet looks adorable next to a couple of skinny wax cord bracelets. Add a shell bracelet, and suddenly you've got a whole little beach party happening on your wrist.
You can also experiment with the number of bracelets.
Three bracelets give you a simple everyday look. Five or six create that colorful, layered surfer girl style.
There's no magic number. Just keep adding until it feels like you.
5. Forget the Rules and Make It Your Own βοΈ
This might be my favorite tip of all.
There really aren't any rules when it comes to beach jewelry.
Want to wear pink with turquoise? Do it.
Mix shells with gold? Absolutely.
Wear seven bracelets on one wrist and none on the other? Why not?
Beach style has always been about freedom, individuality, and not taking fashion too seriously.
Your jewelry should feel like an extension of your personality, not something you have to follow a rulebook to wear.
A Little Beach Vacation for Your Wrist
One of the reasons I love creating bracelet stacks for Rainbow Surf Jewelry is that every combination has its own personality.
Some remind me of tropical lagoons, others of colorful California sunsets, and a few just make me want to grab my flip-flops and head straight for the sand.
Our Beach Stacks combine colorful wax cords, beads, and coastal details into fun, easy-to-wear combinations that you can mix, match, and make your own.
Because even if you're nowhere near the ocean, there's no reason your jewelry can't make you feel like you are.
Life's too short for boring bracelets. π
Stay salty,
