You can swim, shower, and sweat with confidence, knowing your jewelry is designed to resist tarnishing and fading under normal everyday wear.
2. Will the color fade or tarnish over time?
Our jewelry is made with premium 316L stainless steel and a durable 18K PVD gold coating that's designed to resist tarnishing and fading far better than traditional gold-plated jewelry. With normal everyday wear and proper care, your pieces are designed to maintain their beautiful finish for years.
3. Can I wear your jewelry in saltwater or chlorine?
Absolutely. Our jewelry is specifically designed for active lifestyles and beach days. It’s safe for saltwater and chlorine — just rinse gently with fresh water after swimming for the best longevity.
4. What materials do you use?
All of our jewelry is made from premium 316L stainless steel, and the gold pieces are finished with an 18K PVD coating process. This combination gives it a luxurious finish and exceptional resistance to tarnishing.
5. Is your jewelry hypoallergenic?
Yes! Our jewelry is crafted from premium surgical grade 316L stainless steel, a material that is widely known to be well tolerated by people with sensitive skin. Because everyone's skin is unique, there can be rare exceptions. If you experience any skin sensitivity with one of our pieces, simply email support@rainbowsurfjewelry.com, and we'll do our best to make it right.
6. How do I care for my jewelry?
To keep your jewelry looking its best:
- Rinse with fresh water after swimming or sweating.
- Pat dry with a soft cloth.
- Store in a dry place or jewelry pouch when not in use.
- If oil, lotion, or sunscreen have built up, dip the jewelry into a 50/50 mix of warm water and white vinegar for 2-3 minutes, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
- For extra shine, buff with a clean, dry jewelry polishing cloth that's safe for stainless steel or plated jewelry.
- Avoid abrasive pastes like baking soda, metal specific chemical polishes (meant for silver or gold), alcohol, acetone, harsh cleaners, and ultrasonic cleaners with strong solvents
7. What is your return and exchange policy?
We offer hassle-free returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery date. If you’re not completely happy with your purchase, simply email support@rainbowsurfjewelry.com and we can discuss return/exchange options. Please see our full return policy for details.
8. Do you offer a lifetime color warranty?
We stand behind the quality of our jewelry with our Lifetime Color Warranty. If the metal finish on your jewelry genuinely tarnishes or loses color under normal wear due to a failure of the PVD coating (and not from harsh chemicals, misuse, or accidental damage), we'll replace your piece or issue you a refund.
Please note: This warranty applies to the metal finish of the jewelry only. It does not cover natural materials such as beads, shells, pearls, cords, or other decorative elements. It also does not cover accidental damage, breakage, scratches, normal wear, loss, or modifications made after purchase.
9. How long does shipping take?
Orders are usually processed within 1-2 business days and shipped via USPS First Class. Delivery times depend on your location but typically take 5-10 days.
10. If I receive a piece of jewelry as a gift and I don't love it, can I exchange it?
Yes, within 30 days of the delivered date, you are welcome to request store credit so you can find something that you love. Once you send back the item damage-free, you will be emailed a store credit code for the amount that was paid for the item.
