1. Is your jewelry really waterproof?
Yes! Our jewelry is designed for the beach, pool, and everyday wear. Each piece starts with premium 316L stainless steel, then the gold pieces are 18K coated using PVD processing for exceptional durability and shine. You can swim, shower, or sweat without worrying about tarnish.
2. Will the color fade or tarnish over time?
No. We guarantee that our jewelry will not tarnish and that the color will not fade under normal use. The 18K PVD coating creates a strong, long-lasting finish so your pieces stay looking brand new.
3. Can I wear your jewelry in saltwater or chlorine?
Absolutely. Our jewelry is specifically designed for active lifestyles and beach days. It’s safe for saltwater and chlorine — just rinse gently with fresh water after swimming for the best longevity.
4. What materials do you use?
All of our jewelry is made from premium 316L stainless steel, and the gold pieces are finished with an 18K PVD coating process. This combination gives it a luxurious finish and exceptional resistance to tarnishing.
5. Is your jewelry hypoallergenic?
Yes! The materials we use are known to be well tolerated by those with skin sensitivities. Everyone's skin is unique, so there will always be rare exceptions. 6. How do I care for my jewelry?
To keep your jewelry looking its best:
- Rinse with fresh water after swimming or sweating.
- Pat dry with a soft cloth.
- Store in a dry place or jewelry pouch when not in use.
- If oil, lotion, or sunscreen have built up, dip the jewelry into a 50/50 mix of warm water and white vinegar for 2-3 minutes, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
- For extra shine, buff with a clean, dry jewelry polishing cloth that's safe for stainless steel or plated jewelry.
- Avoid abrasive pastes like baking soda, metal specific chemical polishes (meant for silver or gold), alcohol, acetone, harsh cleaners, and ultrasonic cleaners with strong solvents
7. What is your return and exchange policy?
We offer hassle-free returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery date. If you’re not completely happy with your purchase, simply email support@rainbowsurfjewelry.com and we can discuss return/exchange options. Please see our full return policy for details.
8. Do you offer a lifetime color warranty?
Yes! All of our jewelry is backed by our Tarnish-Free & Color-Stay Guarantee. If your piece genuinely tarnishes or loses color under normal conditions due to failure of the PVD coating, (not due to harsh chemicals or misuse), we’ll replace it for you.
The lifetime color warranty does not apply to beading, shells, or other details of the piece, strictly the steel portion of the piece itself. The lifetime color warranty does not cover jewelry breakage, wear and tear marks, scratches, or jewelry loss.
9. How long does shipping take?
Orders are usually processed within 1-2 business days and shipped via USPS First Class. Delivery times depend on your location but typically take 5-10 days.
10. If I receive a piece of jewelry as a gift and I don't love it, can I exchange it?
Yes, within 30 days of the delivered date, you are welcome to request store credit so you can find something that you love. Once you send back the item damage-free, and in its original packaging, you will be emailed a store credit code for the amount that was paid for the item.
